Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Secretary (OS), Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs (AS-IA), Deputy Assistant Secretary-Management (DAS-M), Office of Human Capital Management (OHCM). The incumbent serves as an expert for Human Resources (HR) automated systems, creates presentations from statistical and narrative data, assists in the administration of the personnel security program and designs and manages the HR intranet site.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Data Steward for HR Information Systems (HRIS). Administers the Talent Management Platform for AS-IA, which integrates both Learning and Performance Systems.
  • Extracts data from HRIS to perform data analytics and produce routine and customized reports utilizing Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Manages Human Capital Internet and Intranet, and develops material for posting.
  • Assists with workforce planning by producing and analyzing pertinent data and providing advice to OHCM decision makers and its serviced organizations.
  • Collects organizational data to generate reports on projected staffing needs, losses, number of positions, grades, and similar information to assist with an operational workforce plan focused on staffing plans and budget.
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations, and graphic reports utilizing data from the Federal Personnel and Payroll System (FPPS).
  • Serves as Web Council member and Content Manager for Intra and Internet.
  • Develops Web page policy and standards. Recommends and implements web based applications, databases, and emerging and enabling technologies.

Qualifications

GS-12 :
To qualify for the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing the following: Extracting data from a personnel system to create routine and customized reports, performing data analytics, developing content for internet or intranet, and assisting users with troubleshooting issues requiring analysis within a specific program or platform.

GS-13 :
To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, in addition to meeting the specialized experience for the lower grade level, you must have one year specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing the following: Performing workforce data analytics, administering an online talent management program or platform, assisting with online training development, uploading web content to the intranet or internet, and preparing data reports for presentation to different audiences.
