Job DescriptionThe successful candidate must have extensive experience with building and maintenance systems, as well as a solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheet-rocking, heating, painting, snow removal, and other general maintenance in a residential community setting.The Maintenance Technician must be observant, a self starter, and able to read and understand written specifications, follow the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, and be able to work in a fast paced environment.The ideal candidate should also possess strong customer service skills and professionalism to deal effectively with residents, vendors and staff.QualificationsThis position requires ability to speak, read and write in English, interpret specifications, lift 50 lbs. unassisted, walk five flights of stairs while carrying tools, and operate and repair light equipment. Ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation is required. Computer proficiency.
