PROGRAM FELLOW The Alliance for International Exchange seeks to hire a part-time Program Fellow to support a committed team of professionals who are educating people about the power of international exchange programs and are advocating for their expansion. The Fellow helps with communications, event organization, operations, and other activities as needed. The Fellow is supervised by the Manager for Public and Member Affairs and works with other staff as appropriate. The Fellow will provide a presentation at the end of his/her term outlining key successes and challenges, and the lessons learned during the fellowship. TERM AND BENEFITSThe Fellow works an estimated thirty hours or less a week. The fellowship term is one semester with the option to extend to a full year. Fellows earn the hourly minimum wage under Washington, DC law. The fellowship aims to help develop the next generation of leaders within the international exchange community. Fellows develop an understanding of exchange programs and form a network of professionals in the exchange community. REQUIREMENTSThe Alliance seeks a Program Fellow who is ready to make a positive contribution to the international exchange community. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in an academic setting, strong writing skills, and independence. They will also have demonstrated leadership potential through college activities, internships, employment, and/or research projects. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate who has an interest in international affairs.
