DECO, Inc, a global provider of law enforcement and military training, security solutions and specialized technical services is seeking a qualified Strategic Level Planning Advisors to provide advisory services to help guide and assist international partners under a Department of State contract. The advisors shall be required to advise Host Government officials and personnel, with close coordination with the US Embassy. Generally advisors may be required to:Assist the Host Nation institutions/organizations/units to achieve sustainable institutional reform and capacity building related to the critical activities above.Assist the Host Nation institutions/organizations/units to develop professional, effective, and accountable systems and doctrine related to the critical activities above.Assist the Host Nation to apply the skills acquired during previous training events in real-world and operational settings.Assist the Host Nation personnel in adapting their tactics, techniques, and procedures to reflect changes in the operational environment.Support US mission abroad with implementing its priorities by ensuring close coordination with the Embassy on all activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Six (6) years experience as a strategic planner with the US military, either as an active-duty uniformed service member or DoD civilian or contractor.Prior demonstrated professional experience developing training material or developing curricula for consumption by senior military officialsPrior demonstrated experience in a joint operating environment.U.S. citizenAbility to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification issued by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/SI/PSS). PREFERED QUALIFIACTIONS:Two (2) years experience teaching at a US military education institution (eg War College, National Defense University, Command and General Staff CollegePrior demonstrated experience advising foreign military or government at the operational or strategic level.Two years prior experience working or living abroad, preferably in the region.If a former military service member, rank of O5 or above.Competency in spoken Arabic (Modern Standard or Levantine) or French, with a preference for Arabic.
