SYSTEM ADMIN (AWS Expert) Columbia, MD 6 Months (C2H) Mode of Interview In-person mandatory Position Description The Portal System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the COTS products IBM WebSphere Portal, AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux servers. The System Administrator will ensure system's high availability and maintain provided program SLA's. Maintain and improve managed services in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment and distributed load balanced environments. The Portal system administrator will provide daily support maintaining the Portal infrastructure at AWS and BDC. The Portal system administrator will develop and maintain the AWS provisioning scripts and AWS management tool. The System administrator will participate in troubleshooting sessions and analyze Portal incidents. The system administrator will evaluate new tools and technologies and conduct proof of concept analysis for potential integrations of these new tools and technologies into Portal. Experience 7 Years Min Education Required Non required but preferred bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or comparable experience. Technical Requirement 7 plus years of experience as a WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Application Server (WAS) System Administrator Proven experience with load balancers Proven experience with IBM WebSphere Portal 8.x and Server 8.x Experience with settingadministration IBM collaboration tools such as Connections Configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible Deploy automation infrastructure by using the AWS Cloud Formation techniques AWS experience using AWS FedRamp, AWS system administration certification is preferable Strong understanding of internet and networking protocols such as DNS, HTTP, and TCPIP Strong knowledge of common Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Debian, etc.) Familiarity with common open source infrastructure tools Experience with common networking equipment (F5, Cisco, Juniper etc.) Hands on experience integrating with micro services as a SaaS Experience supporting high availablehigh traffic websites, preferably across multiple data centers Experience Agile methodologies and DevOps (CICD) pipelines Experience or familiarity with Git version management servers Preferred Qualification Experience with Network Administration Experience with WAS scripting Proven experience in monitoring technologies, such as Chartbeat, ExtraHop, NewRelic and Splunk Experience with SSO and WCM authoring set up CIS degree OktaSaviynt experience or certification
