Your Role and Responsibilities IBM Global Markets is currently seeking an Unstructured Data Technical Software Sales Specialist for Systems. This position is responsible for driving sales of IBM's Software Defined Storage technologies including; Spectrum NAS, Spectrum Scale, Discover and Cloud Object Storage in conjunction with IBM's full storage portfolio for the Industrial Market in the Western US Unstructured Data Software Sales Specialist are consultants to IBM clients and business partners. You'll be expected to lead sales efforts for strategic, customer facing opportunities centered around our Unstructured Data portfolio. You'll sell business solutions to clients of all sizes and markets. As a client-facing, sales professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose -to be essential to its clients; help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven hardware, software defined (SDSS) and Hybrid cloud-based storage solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by * solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven unstructured data solutions * Work with IBM Business partners to supplement their existing stills and provide direction in engaging with Unstructured Data resources * Use business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape * Collaborate with other Market sellers and technical teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and * feasibility of proposed solutions * Work with the Market technical team and Storage sales teams to deliver effective Proof of Concept * (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), support critical situations * Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery Attributes: * Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client's business as well as IBM's * Skilled in provocative consultative selling, with an understanding of the client's needs and IBM capabilities Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically * Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in complex environments * Self-starter with eagerness to seek and build new skills * Demonstrated Business/Territory development success Required Professional and Technical Expertise * At least 4 years' experience in IT Sales or pre-sales engineering * At least 3 years' experience selling storage hardware and/or software products with solid knowledge of the Unstructured Data Market * Basic understanding of IBM (Software Defined Storage, COS) and competitive storage products * Competitive experience in NAS, Object, and File Storage Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise * At least 4 years' experience in IT Storage Solution sales * Deep understanding of IBM (Software Defined Storage, COS) and competitive storage products * Competitive experience in Cloud and Storage About Business Unit IBM has a global presence, operating in more than 175 countries with a broad-based geographic distribution of revenue.
