General Manager-Facilities Operations Manager Location US-VA-RESTON System ID 82952 Category General Management Relocation Type No Employment Status Full-Time Unit Description Sodexo Corporate Services seeks a qualified Facilities Engineering General Manager with a solid background in building services. Position Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director of the account, you will be responsible for managing/ supervising fully integrated facilities services including building maintenance, janitorial, project and construction management in conjunction with account project manager at three client locations in the Reston-Herndon area. You have direct client contact. General responsibilities include: Oversight in all building services areas to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Direct client contact that requires excellent communication, negotiation and tact skills. Manage the planning, implementation and allocation of resources and activities to meet contract scope and budget. Responsible for hiring, onboarding and training of employees and active development of the facilities team. Maintains a zero harm/safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees. Understands the client's needs and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity. Plans project, including defining objectives, scope, specifications, methods, timetables, staffing, contract requirements and budget. Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining a "white glove" level of delivery Seeks regular client feedback and ensures account retention Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate Requirements: Minimum of 5 years successful experience and strong working knowledge of all aspects of Building Services including Maintenance, Project and Construction Management and custodial management; Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills; Ability to successfully manage operations while supporting the strategic initiatives of the client; Strong technical knowledge particularly with HVAC/UPS/Generators; Strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building. Position Summary Supervises the account at three of the locations as the #1 manager and have full responsibility including supervision of other managers. All hard and soft facilities to include custodial / maintenance and grounds in an integrated operation. Key Duties - Manage other managers; manage by walking around (rounding); Staffs, trains, and is responsible for employee development - client interface - payroll oversight - budgetary oversight - Oversees and coordinates projects with Project Manager - Manages an assignment - Manages mechanicals (ie HVAC) - Manages QA and Safety Position Summary Functions as the leader for multiple core services, in a single account and/or multiple locations within the same contract. Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of business that in total is between $5 and $10 million in managed volume. Key Duties - Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources. - Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals - Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo. - Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system. - Maintains Quality & Company Standards - reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures. - Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling.
