Job Summary The Global Design HR team strives to attract, grow and retain remarkable talent in the Design industry. The Global Design HR team is focused on understanding and promoting the culture, organization, leadership and inclusive environment necessary for all associates within Global Design to do the best work. The Manager, Human Resources (HR) provides generalist HR support to Global Design (GD) and serves as the point of contact for Corporate Facilities (CFS) for all HR support, partnering with the Sr. Director of HR as appropriate. He/she will be responsible for supporting development and execution of various HR programs and processes. EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Monitors, manages and administers human resource programs and processes to include: * Engagement Survey: Supports the Engagement Survey Process for GD & CFS, including registration validation, dissemination of Engagement Survey results and data, providing results and guidance to Leaders, answering questions, conducting feedback sessions, and facilitating the Action Planning (AP) process. * Take Care Program: Facilitates the TakeCare Program for the GD in partnership with the TakeCare Champions, ensuring messages are communicated, and a schedule of events and seminars are developed, implemented, and refreshed each year. Using metrics such as a dashboard, scorecard or KPIs to measure and report on the effectiveness of the initiative. * Summer Intern Program: Serve as GD's point of contact for University relations. Partner with department leaders to source and select intern candidates and ensure a smooth onboarding. * Payroll Process: Oversees the payroll process which includes bi-weekly monitoring of Mosaic timesheet submissions. This role partners with HQ HR Services leveraging PeopleSoft, payroll platform and Mosaic access. * Associate Relations: Partner closely with his/her GD HR leaders as well as HQ HR Services team to manage associate relations issues associated with performance, leave, business integrity, terminations, or other associate relations matters. * Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA): Responsible for providing guidance and administering all FWA arrangements, partnering with HQ HR Services where appropriate. * Annual Events: Responsible for supporting coordination of annual GD/CFS events that build associate engagement such as awards program, outings, etc. Supports human resource processes to include: * General HR Support: Triage HR questions and connect associates and managers with the right resource. Provides advice and counsels associates and management regarding Marriott policies and procedures using various resources - myHR, HR Centers of Expertise, Flex Staffing and HQ HR Services. * Talent Acquisition: Provides support and assistance to leaders on Marriott's talent acquisition process partnering with GD HR leaders and PeopleScout. * Required Training: Monitor compliance with required training, support management of programmatic training processes (eg WILL, Base Camp, etc.) following up with associates on completion of training and work with training liaison to ensure data is updated and reflected accurately. * On-Boarding: Provide new associates with a welcome kit that is refreshed annually (in coordination with Enterprise on-boarding initiatives). * Performance and Compensation Process: Supports GD HR leaders with facilitation of annual performance and compensation process that includes preparation of analytical reports and communications. HR Metrics: Provides insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data to line management. HR Metrics: Provides insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data to line management. * Organizational Capability: Provide leaders with current organizational information that will focus on talent attraction and retention. * Talent Management and Human Capital Review: In partnership with GD HR leaders, supports the Talent Management process and annual Human Capital Review Meetings by updating and preparing human capital information. * HR Metrics: HR Metrics: Provides insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data to line management.Provides insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data (turnover, time to fill, etc.) to help managers understand the people health of their organization CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience, Skills and Knowledge: * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through on tasks to completion * Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness * Knowledge of or background of hospitality (with direct market knowledge a plus) * Understanding and experience working with an hourly workforce * Implemented effective engagement strategies * Coach and influence * Strong analytical skills with effective problem-solving abilities, as well as process improvement skills; comfortable using and building Excel spreadsheets * General understanding of HR concepts and principles * Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation skills * Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment * Applies solid judgement ensuring integrity, compliance and confidentiality * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and PeopleSoft or MarrPay experience preferred Education or Certification: * Bachelor's degree required * Advanced degree (MBA/MS) or PHR/SPHR certification highly desirable * Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in human resources discipline Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
