Our client, TELAFORCE, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work on their Army Human Resrouce contract in Herndon, VA. Please see details about the job below Sr. Network Engineer Resource will be working with and leading 1 mid-level Network Admin maintaining an existing network as well as a new environment that includes the onboard switches that are part of 3 HPE c7000 chassis, 2 Dell 10 GB Switches and 2 Juniper Firewalls, several IBM Flex chassis onboard switches, and various other devices. We need assistance completing the configuring and hardening of the switches and firewalls. This position will also support the network environment. The candidate will be responsible for architecting new network solutions, determining hardware needs and implementing hardware solutions and troubleshooting any issues that occur. The client is PEO EIS Army Army Human Resource Systems (AHRS). The contract is a 4 year contract which started on 9262018. So we are in the base year of the contract. Contract end date is 8112022. Experience Experience installing and configuring Dell switches and Juniper SRX firewalls with a JUNOS OS. Experience hardening switches and firewalls to DISA STIGs. Experience configuring network interfaces and administering network virtualization. Architecting new network solutions, determining hardware needs and implementing hardware solutions Knowledge of TCPIP networking concepts including VLANs and VPNs A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCPIP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP. Experience monitoring network devices and performing IOS and firmware upgrades. Keeping network monitoring system up to date by compiling MIBs and performing SNMP monitoring of network devices. Experience with routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP. Experience with implementing and troubleshooting ACLs. Experience with implementing and troubleshooting routing issues in both LAN and WAN environments Hands on experience with Layer 3 switch configuration, VLANs and Trunking. Experience working with a DMZ. Ability to troubleshoot a range of computing environments, LANWAN, Windows, Internet, etc. Position Requirements This position will require the resource to primarily work in the Herndon office, but to occasionally go to Crystal City, VA to access the SIPRNet circuit located at the client s office building. Travel is rare and minimal. This position requires a CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification and a computing environment certification such as a CCNA or similar. Must have a DoD Secret clearance with SSBI (if no SSBI we may be able to work around that requirement) Experience - 4-7 years Should have a Bachelor s Degree
