People Ready Skilled Trades is looking for experienced Drywall Installers. Projects can range from commercial to residential and can include all phases of drywall installation. Length of project and pay rate dependent on experience and contractor.Responsibilities IncludeReading design plans in order to provide minimal wallboard to avoid unnecessary waste of materialsMeasuring and marking cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim using tape measure, straightedge, or square, and marking devicesIdentifying the exact locations of windows, electrical outlets, and plumbing, and then cutting the drywall or ceiling tile to fit the precise size neededCutting drywall to the right size, using utility knives and power sawsFastening drywall panels to interior wall studs, using nails or screwsInstalling metal corner beads to protect exterior cornersFilling joints, holes, and cracks with compound, using a trowel and broad knifeTrimming and smoothing rough edges so boards join evenly without visual defectQualificationsOne year of experience in residential or commercial carpentry preferred, as is mud and sanding applications experienceBasic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the flyAble to occasionally lift and move 50 poundsTake pride in your strong work ethic, positive mindset, and desire to improveReferences that verify your professional skills and experienceOur Values: Be True, Be Passionate, Be Responsible, Be Creative, Be Respectful
