Title: Area Sales Manager Territory: VA, DC & MD Reports to: VP of Sales - East Effective April 2019, Celling Biosciences ("Celling"), based in Austin, Texas, acquired ThermiGen, LLC, formerly an Almirall company. POSITION SUMMARY The Area Sales Manager is responsible for sales of the capital and consumable product(s) to customers within a specified geographic territory. Sales activity includes prospecting, cold calling, tradeshows, sales events, and other methods for creating leads and closing sales for the Company within the approved price matrix. In addition, the Area Sales Manager must ensure payment is obtained from the customer for the initial order. This involves working with lenders and customers to confirm payment methods. The position reports to the assigned RVP of Sales. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assignment which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the below) Prospecting for new leads. Set up and support of VIP Events. Work with the customer to develop incentive programs that encourage the use of our products and applications. Develop a clear understanding of the product(s) to communicate the effectiveness of the products with the customers. Obtaining call lists for their specific territory. Identifying quality sales prospects from active leads. Attending marketing and sales events for prospects and current customers. Working with customers for sales referrals with new prospects. Develop a clear understanding of the product to communicate the safety and effectiveness of the products with the potential customers. Update all relevant sales activities in the Company's CRM system. Close sales accurately and effectively each month to meet or exceed quota for all assigned sales products and services, within the assigned territory. Respond to all emails received from the customer and ThermiGen employees and related vendors in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as required or requested. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 1. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned tasks. 2. Ability to react to time pressures and to overcome objections effectively. 3. Strong teamwork, client management, and interpersonal skills. 4. Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and organizational skills. 5. Must have excellent time management skills. 6. Must possess strong work ethic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: 1. College Degree or related work experience. 2. 5 years of sales experience. 3. 3 years of medical device capital sales experience. 4. Proficient in Salesforce, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and general office equipment. 5. Travel within assigned territory 2-3 nights per week. 6. Willing and able to work extended hours as duties require. WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires 40-60% travel. The scheduled hours are 40 to 50 hours per week Monday through Friday but may be extended as required to execute the tasks assigned.
