United Asphalt Company committed to meeting and exceeding the high standards of excellence that have made them successful in the roofing products industry for 55 years.United Asphalt Company, a privately owned, third generation, family-owned business headquartered in Berlin, New Jersey.United Asphalt Company is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Territory (Maryland & Virginia).Territory Sales Representative ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain relationships at the Contractor, Dealer, Distributor and Building Owner levelResponsible for identifying and prospecting for new customersWork closely with customers and contractors to develop sales strategiesCommunicate with customers in a timely mannerSustain awareness of market pricing, product innovations, competitive product lines and market trends that may affect your marketProvide the necessary literature, samples, technical data, and other advertising materials needed in the fieldInspect projects for contractors and building owners to ensure the substrate is adequate for product successProvide product training showing proper technique to apply productsQualifications Prior Outside Sales experience with strong track record of successPrior Outside Sales experience with strong track record of successExperience related to building materials and/or construction industryProfessional verbal and written communication skillsExperience in developing and executing territory sales strategiesStrong presentation, negotiation, and closing skillsComputer proficiency Motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goalsRequirementsTwo years of Industry (or) Industry related experience in commercial roofing and building envelope materials, methods of application and systems, as well as marketsTwo years prior outside sales experience (preferably in the building material distribution industry).
