SUMMARY As a member of the Worldwide Engineer Solutions team, you will share in our mission to architect and execute engineering solutions with our customers globally by creating flexible simulation environments configured to their needs. As a member of this team, you will help to accomplish this by bringing to bear ANSYS' best-in-class expertise as One ANSYS to leverage our simulation technology and integrate third party capabilities where needed. These solutions will accelerate our customers' New Product Introduction and increase their services value. Our focus is to capture ANSYS' market value and to be recognized as industry leaders for the following industrial megatrends: Autonomous Vehicles, Chip-Package-System (CPS), Electrification, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).RESPONSIBILITIES ?Focusing on the Federal, Aerospace and Defense market collaborate with the greater sales team and the worldwide Engineering Solutions team, the outcome of which is strong customer engagements to architect and execute engineering solutions in megatrend industries that provide significant customer value and help achieve ANSYS' corporate business objectives. ?Responsible for articulating ANSYS' value proposition in industry megatrends. This requires a strong understanding of ANSYS' entire product suite as well as product offerings from complementary third-party companies. Articulating such a message must affirm the sales message, differentiate ANSYS as a technology leader, and leave a strong and positive impression with Executive level audiences that ANSYS' technology can help deliver on their key business initiatives ?Execute and lead multiple high-profile Engineer Solutions projects. This will be accomplished by working with large virtual teams spread across Application Engineering, Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Development and Technical Support teams. ?Participate in internal corporate initiatives to further enhance the products, consulting and training offerings, presales/sales enablement and professional growth; actively participate in the development and mentoring of team membersMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ?Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline ?A minimum of 7 years of experience, including post-BS academic experience, in an engineering environment ?A minimum of 2 years manager-level or Senior Engineer level work experience in application engineer, customer support, customer consulting services, or related customer facing activities ?Is considered a subject matter expert and recognized within the Sector/Country or Division in at least one relevant discipline within our business and is sought out for counsel and advice by other engineers within ANSYS and/or by industry experts ?Demonstrated understanding of engineering practices and product development, technology and how these tools are used by our customers ?Ability to manage multiple projects which are complex in nature and coordinate colleagues across diverse teams and locations ?Ability to facilitate customer requirements process and then work with customer to build out those requirements ?Strong verbal and written communication skills ?Strong leadership and mentoring skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ?MS or PhD degree preferred ?A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering environment is preferred ?Must have passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance ?Must have customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus ?Ability to travel up to 60%CULTURE AND VALUES Culture and values are incredibly important to ANSYS.
