Overview As the DevOps Software and Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of our DevOps strategy with responsibility to help mature and grow our software development practice and design software architectures for our customers. You will have the unique opportunity to support both the Defense and Homeland Security Sector and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. Responsibilities What you'll do Be the DevOps Solutions lead within the Defense and Homeland Security Sector to improve, bid, win, and execute on new software lifecycle opportunities Lead the improvement and execution of Peraton's strategy for customer Technical and Coding Challenges Participate as Peraton's lead representative with teaming partners in technical/coding Challenges, documenting and conveying your experience and best practices to colleagues Work with colleagues in creating or refining DevOps innovations, and honing the company's approach for bringing forward DevOps execution excellence as part of Technical Challenges Lead multiple DevOps teams as the result of competing and winning new DevOps work Apply your knowledge of software, systems, and enterprise architectures to work with Engineering, Operations, and Business Development staff to develop the effective solutions for customer needs Evaluate new DevOps platforms, components, tools, and processes Prototype solutions - independently and as part of a team Qualifications You'd be a great fit if You have a Bachelors and 12+ (or Masters and 10+, or a Phd and 9+) years' experience as a "full stack" developer, thoroughly familiar with DevOps practices You have 5+ years' experience as a software architect You have designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines, especially those targeting hybrid cloud environments You have knowledge of and experience provisioning Hybrid Cloud environments You have incorporated DevOps security in multiple projects You have implemented Cloud Native software solutions You have frequently used DevOps and Agile tools such as Jenkins, Jenkins Pipeline as Code, Docker, Openshift, and the Atlassian suite You have experience with Continuous integration/Delivery environments and orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, TerraForm, SaltStack, Jenkins, and GIT You have experience implementing and deploying containerized solutions using technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes You have experience implementing and deploying Certificate stores You have knowledge of and experience deploying, configuring, and using Apache Foundation tools/Projects You have experience implementing and deploying COTS and OSS software and databases You have current or previous experience working for a DHS agency on an Agile or DevOps software development &/or O&M program You can clearly and accurately communicate complex technical information - in both written and spoken form - in a manner that is easily understood by non-technical audiences You have a current Public Trust security clearance or the ability to obtain one Degree(s) in Computer Science or related field of study It'd be even better if you You have direct experience in preparing for and competing in a DHS Coding or Technical Challenge You have experience from the commercial sector in DevOps &/or digital transformation best practices You are comfortable briefing corporate executives (and even senior government officials) You have 16+ years' experience as a "full stack" developer, thoroughly familiar with DevOps practices What you'll get An immediately-vested 401(K) with employer matching Rapid PTO accrual schedule with floating holidays Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Tuition assistance, financing, and refinancing Paid maternity and paternity leave Company-paid infertility treatments Cross-training and professional development opportunities The ability to influence major initiatives SECURITY CLEARANCE This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
