Role and ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineer - Work experience should cover airports, light rail transit, maintenance facilities, office buildings, university facilities and infrastructure. Design experience to include performing electrical load calculations both manually and through computer based simulation software, electrical wiring, electrical power, power transmission and distribution, low-voltage distribution, lighting, communications, sound and video, electronic detention monitoring, etc. Prepare design documents and produce construction drawings for electrical and instrumentation & control engineering projects. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using master specification documents for the preparation of project specifications. Experience and knowledge of all applicable codes and standards used for the design on electrical systems and controls. Experience and knowledge of permitting electrical projects through federal, state and local Building and Zoning Departments. Show experience in cost estimation and construction administration and demonstrate ability to successfully conduct meetings with contractors. Serve as project lead/manager on specific engineering tasks or projects. Compile and present results of planning and engineering studies. Prepare and review interim and completed project reports. Convey project results and findings by means of oral discussions, presentations and project documentation. Identify and define scope, technique, price, and schedule. Ensure that QA/QC procedures are implemented within design teams. Qualifications And Education Requirements Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer. 8-10 years related engineering experience. Proficient in AutoCAD/3D Modeling Previous consulting experience desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with, mentor and direct staff level engineers and technicians. Exhibit ability to track and meet schedules and deadlines
