JOB SUMMARY:Contribute to technical discussions regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of new products and servicesProvide project plans, technical briefs, architectural design, implementation, and operating procedure documentsCollaborate with technical team leads and management on matters such as business processes, technical roadmaps, and trainingDesign, deploy and manage VMWare VSphere environmentServe as an escalation point for Junior Level administrators, IT Support, and service desk staffDevelop and implement disaster recovery plansMonitor daily backupsPeriodically field calls and create trouble ticketsSubmit infrastructure change requests using approved Change Request (CR) methodologiesPerform proactive monitoring to identify potential or actual problems and provide solutionsQualificationsBachelor's degree preferably in information technology or related field; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Requires experience building and managing VMware vSphere 5.5 and 6.x clusters, and virtual machinesStrong experience with developing technical designs, As-Built, Operations and SOP documentationExperience implementing Microsoft Solutions Framework and ITIL methodologiesExtensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring and administering Microsoft Active Directory Services (Windows 2012R2, Windows 2016, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Windows Clustering). Proficient with PowerShell scriptingRequires a strong understanding of physical and virtual network technologies, methodologies and concepts (vLAN tagging and Port Groups). Experience with VMWare switching and Cisco catalyst hardware.Experience managing Storage Area Networks (LUN creation, zoning and multi-pathing)Requires experience designing high availability and disaster recovery (COOP) solutionsDesired Skills And Certifications VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) Microsoft MCSA Windows Server 2012 Experience designing, building, and managing VMware Horizon View environments Experience with Cisco Meraki Cloud Switching Experience with Cisco ASA Firewall appliances Experience with HPE 3Par Storage Area Network Hardware Experience deploying and managing enterprise anti-virus solutions in virtual environments (Symantec Endpoint Protection, TrendMicro) Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2016 Extensive experience in network technologiesWORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual will be subject to sedentary work with the majority of hours in a professional office environment, and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands. The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal.
