Job Summary From smartphone capabilities like Digital Key to connected rooms that allow for integrated entertainment, temperature and lighting controls, Hilton's Global Technology team is responsible for creating the hospitality experience of the future - for our guests, owners and Team Members. Through innovative technology development and deployment this team ensures Hilton has the technology needed to support our continued global growth while remaining at the forefront of hospitality technology innovation. What will I be doing? As the Director, Portfolio Management you will lead technology related projects that require a deep understanding of infrastructure, network, data integration, and deployment planning. You will drive the successful delivery and management of multiple, complex projects or large scale programs within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management in order to deliver business value. More specifically, you will: Deliver large scale infrastructure projects and programs as assigned, duties include: * Detailed requirements gathering to support architect and platform teams inclusive of hardware, network, and firewall requirements * Drive communications plans regarding infrastructure and maintenance to ensure users are aware of changes and how they may be impacted * Align with multi-functional teams to craft communications, project plans, support plans, and testing * Drive business updates for critical incidents of major platforms * Identify and schedule project work, landmarks, and required activities and tasks * Lead sessions that require input from multiple partners with an Infrastructure focus * Track and handle issues, risks, blockers and dependencies * Financial and resource management * Ensure compliance with applicable policies and internal controls * Ensure project goals are accomplished, and proper processes are followed * Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation * Continuously measure project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in project and portfolio management What are we looking for? We believe success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills: * Interpersonal communicators who will positively influence Hilton's partners and who will communicate effectively at all levels * Ability to lead and motivate others; demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types * Familiar with project management standards (for example, agile, PMI and Prince II) * Demonstrated sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership * Knowledge of project-planning tools * Ability to articulate very technical solutions in business terms to ensure alignment and plans * Expertise in setting and handling customer expectations * Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where you may not directly control resources * Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence * Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other organizations are employing them to drive digital business * Demonstrated ability to craft and execute a project resource plan To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: * Twelve (12) years of professional related work experience * Eight (8) years of project management experience * Travel - up to 25% It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: * Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus a minimum of twelve (12) years of Technology related experience * Fourteen (14) years professional related work experience * Nine (9) years demonstrated project management experience in increasingly more impactful roles * PMP Certification * Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills * Demonstrated agile experience * Demonstrated experience in leading a team What will it be like to work for Hilton?
