Anderson Mechanical Service Inc. is currently seeking qualified and motivated Building Automation Technician to join and grow the AMSI team.This position would leave a team of installers on large projects, from release of the project to startup and commissioning of Building Automation Systems.Desired SkillsProficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.Understanding of the operation of HVAC controls and HVAC equipment. This includes the ability to understand written sequences of operation.Competency in the functionality of Building Automation Systems and HVAC controls, including software engineering and commissioning tools, DDC controllers and all field devices.BACnet LonWorks, or MODBUS protocol fundamentals. BACnet preferred."Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 experience desired but not required.Possessing a Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification is a plus.Carrier iVU experience a plus.Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.Previous experience working with Johnson Controls, Invensys, Honeywell and/or Distech is a plus.General Requirements3 years experience performing startup and commissioning of Building Automation Systems and HVAC controls.HVAC Service Technicians will be consideredHigh School DiplomaProficiency with Microsoft Office Software and strong PC skills.Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; both written and verbal.The ability to work on a construction site including the use of step ladders and scaffolding is required.Valid Driver's license required.Family-owned commercial mechanical construction and HVAC service company working in DC area offering competitive pay, industry-best benefits and a fast-paced but enjoyable work environment.
