The Human Resources Generalist performs varied human resources professional work in support of AlexRenew. The work involves performing administration of human resources policies, procedures, programs and special projects as assigned. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: . Utilizes various communication channels to disseminate information to employees. . Assists and answers routine employee questions on HR related matters.. Conducts training and/or presentations to all levels of employees as requested.. Work independently on human resources projects. . Analyzes and presents HR data and summarizes conclusions for management.. Ensures that HR programs are carried out in accordance with AlexRenew policies and procedures.. Initiate own daily assignments, follow through on matters of concern, and use independent judgment to take appropriate actions.. Prepares reports on various HR related activities as requested.. Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.. Works closely with HR Manager on workforce development initiatives.. Back-up Human Resources Manager as needed.Actively promotes safe behaviors and health awareness at all times in the execution of daily tasks.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.. Three (3) years of Human Resources experience in public utility, manufacturing or distribution industry; or combination of education and experience desired.. SHRM-Certified Professional (CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) a plus.. Must have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, the desire to be a team player, be proactive and suggest ideas for easier processes for more efficiency.. High degree of professionalism including the ability to handle sensitive/confidential material.. Must be highly organized with the ability to work autonomously while prioritizing and multitasking several assignments.. Ability to conduct research to identify and collect appropriate data; strong analytical skills required.. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to include writing and speaking.. Ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with all levels of employees.. Strong computer skills including working knowledge of human resources management systems, ADP, Sage/Abra a plus.
