Paragon Gene Therapy, in Baltimore & Harmans, Maryland, provides industry-leading GMP development and manufacturing services for cutting-edge biopharmaceuticals such as recombinant viral vectors, next generation vaccines & hard-to-express recombinant proteins and oncolytic viruses. The Director of Business Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining business capabilities of the enterprise in line with the corporate strategy as well as contributing to the development of business strategy and project portfolios. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Ensure that the thought leaders in Paragon understand what is possible with IT capabilities and our data when establishing and executing our business strategy. * In partnership with the VP of IT, the Paragon Leadership team, the Catalent Architecture group and the IT Governance team members as needed, ensure that all IT programs are aligned to the Paragon business strategy. * Define the business capabilities (processes, information, technology solutions, organizations, roles, facilities, other assets) that will enable Paragon to meet its business objectives and sustain our rapid growth.* Represent Paragon's business strategy and needs in the development of the Catalent Corporate IT strategy. * Partner with the IT Capital Projects lead to ensure the realization of all benefits for our IT investments. * Lead the efforts for business process redesign as needed to take advantage of all appropriate enabling technologies.Education & Experience:* BS, BA, or MS in Information Technology, Science, Engineering or related field * Ability to understand and facilitate definition of business strategy* Ability to link business requirements with business capabilities and strategy* Clear understanding of data modeling and experience in establishing data governance as needed to enable business strategy* Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis at the enterprise level * Clear understanding of Change Execution Management techniques, and the application of same in a biotech organization * Ability to communicate effectively with and influence senior business executives* Ability to re-direct and drive course corrections when necessary for IT programs * Excellent understanding of cGMP's and System Development Life Cycle methodologies* Ability to partner with Enterprise Architecture to align divisional needs with corporate IT strategy* Excellent facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making skills * Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions is essential * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Experience in supporting enterprise level GXP IT platforms * Demonstrated experience in ensuring regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical applications are incorporated into the IT strategy. * 10+ years' Experience in the Life Sciences industry driving change with enabling technologiesDesired: * Experience in Process Data Analytics* Understanding and application of LEAN/MPS principles* Experience in supporting GXP and research lab automated systems* Experience in supporting GXP Manufacturing automated systems Paragon Bioservices is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
