We are seeking a Systems Engineer who feels strongly about supporting and improving these solutions to make an impact on our customers' missions. As a Systems Engineer at SNC, you will have the opportunity to support multiple programs across the organization. You will apply a systems engineering approach and methodology to a wide variety of analysis, design, development, integration, and test efforts. An SNC Systems Engineer: * Has a working knowledge of sound engineering principles. * Can ensure standards are incorporated into product development. * Is a natural problem solver. * Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. * Has the ability to elicit, derive, and document system requirements to meet customer specifications. * Either leads or participates as a member of an Agile Project Team. * Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs software applications and systems that contain complex logic and mathematical algorithms. * Generates requirements backlogs, project plans, test plans, test reports, architecture diagrams, and technical presentations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * Lead (or participate in) project efforts to interpret customer requirements and decompose them into system requirements and project backlog items. * Originate technical evaluations, system verification/validation plans and procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design, development, and integration activities. * Perform software unit testing for a complex, proprietary web application. * Coordinate with User Interface developer, backend developer and User Experience designer to build new and update existing web pages * Report software bugs and coordinate with development team to resolve bugs and retest functionality * Research issues reported by end customer * Document high level test cases for multiple components of the web application * Perform regression testing * Act as a technical liaison to the Program Manager * Create technical content for stakeholder decision-makers, such as sprint review material, white papers, alternative of analysis, and technical proposals. * Brief customers and internal stakeholders on technical progress, risks, and alternative courses of action. Required Experience, Education, and Skills: * BS in Systems Engineering or related Engineering field. * 3+ years of experience * Java, Elasticsearch, Angular JS * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, to include requirements analysis, design, integration & test, and trade studies. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * 3+ years of testing experience of web applications. * Experience creating technical reports and presentations. * Basic SQL knowledge. * Strong problem solving skills. * Strong team collaboration skills. * Ability to obtain a DOD clearance required. Desired Experience and Skills: * Experience working on agile programs. * Experience with agile tools; JIRA, Confluence * Experience with 508 Compliance testing * Exposure to cyber security or network logs is a plus. * Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certification IMPORTANT NOTICES: * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Security Clearance.
