We are recruiting for a permanent full-time Network Administrator position located in Leesburg, VA for one of the area's fastest and growing global communications firms.This role is responsible for the administration and maintenance of network environments running at SNOC and TSC facilities working in cooperation with the IT Network and Systems Administrators to provide highly available and reliable systems to support the Mission network.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAdministration of network infrastructure systems to support the Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks across all Mission NetworksAdministration of Cisco ASA VPN'sAdministration of customer co-located equipment, VPNs and similar systemsWork service requests and help desk tickets on a daily basisParticipate in design meetings, reviews, implementation projects and coordinate with telecommunication vendorsMaintain all network monitoring systems for connectivity, performance, and configuration changesParticipate in a rotating coverage schedule to provide off-hours supportMaintain existing IT network elements; implement upgrades, replacements and new equipment as directedMonitor the IT Network systems for proper operation, error conditions and unauthorized changesRespond to alerts and take corrective action; provide root cause analysis and suggest improvementsMaintain appropriate logs, databases and history to perform trending analysis and take proactive steps to ensure the proper operation of systemsMaintain appropriate tools to assist in the execution of dutiesMaintain appropriate and current documentation of networkSuggest improvements and seek additional training to maintain skills necessary to execute dutiesJob RequirementsDemonstrated proficiencies with network administration and installationAbility to multitask and excel in a fast paced 24/7 environmentDetail oriented with excellent technical, verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving skillsAbility to work well under pressureAbility to collaborate with internal and external technology partners to ensure end to end quality of all products, services and systems; customer service focusUnderstanding of company IT policies and procedures24/7 On-Call as per assigned scheduleQualificationsExperience/Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent work experienceCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.3+ years of experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, and Wireless with advanced knowledge of TCP/IP network administration and troubleshooting3+ years of experience with Enterprise Firewalls or similar security systems with advanced knowledge of network security applications, tools, and methodologies3+ years of experience working in both LINUX and UNIX environments; ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues at both an application and Server OS level.3+ years of experience in a 24/7 Mission Critical environment preferred
