Responsibilities Develop complex build/deployment systems Provide support to a large community of developers and testers. Remain steadfast about developing software the right way and will maximize efficiency within the SDLC through automation. Troubleshoot and solve problems Effectively work with both agile developers and infrastructure engineers on a daily basis to automate every aspect of the software development/delivery process from inception to deployment and operations Act as a jack-of-all-trades technologist Understand new, emerging technologies and implement as needed Assess business objectives, conduct gap analysis of existing versus needed capability, and identify business requirements vis-a-vis technical trends and best practices Evaluates business requirements to identify potential software, hardware, and system architectures to be employed to meet business objectives Performs research on emerging technologies to support proof-of-concept (POC) capabilities and identify future solutions for the organization Perform software requirements analysis, development of software products and software tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms Adjust resource estimation, tracking progress and planning/re-planning based on realities of the team velocity and potential changes in product owner priorities Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations' Agile lifecycle Communicates with internal personnel at all levels as well as with various external parties Negotiates with and influences others to understand and accept new concepts and practices Qualifications 1+ years' experience with DevOps automation tools such as Bamboo, Chef, Jenkins, Selenium, TestNG, Hudson, GitLab, Nexus, Docker, etc. Prior work with source control management systems (ie, Subversion, Git) and code branching/merging strategies Familiarity with build-time dependency management (Maven, Ivy), unit testing and code-coverage tools, static analysis tools, functional test automation techniques and JUnit Experience in a UNIX environment specifically on a Linux platform. Familiarity with J2EE-stack application servers (eg, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat) Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline Proven innovative and analytical ability Proven success working on a team with team members at all levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-focus environment Bachelor's Degree US Citizenship (no dual) and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance required Experience in a Federal or DHS environment is a plus
