Job Announcement

Consults with and provides HR support to DPWES employees and managers. Must have professional HR experience in recruitment and selection, position classification and workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management.

This position is located in the DPWES Director's Office and reports to the DPWES HR Manager.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of human resources administration and management principles and practices;

Ability to perform a variety of increasingly complex work in human resources;

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to prepare documents and store, manipulate, analyze and present information;

Ability to train and supervise staff.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in human resource management, public administration, or a related field; plus two years of professional-level human resources experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

Not applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of professional HR experience. Professional HR experience in federal, state or local government. Experience interpreting and providing HR policy guidance to employees and managers. Experience managing and facilitating recruitment and selection processes. Experience in workforce planning and position classification.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Is required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job is generally sedentary in nature, however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor, incumbent must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment and to use other automated technology. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
