Strategic Communications Specialist, Senior
Key Role:

Lead a team of ~5 people in providing strategic communications and advisory committee support to the client. Work closely with senior government officials and senior private sector executives on various communications products under tight deadlines, including talking points and key messages, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and other communications products, as needed. Conduct event planning for and in support of the implementation of twice a year, in-person advisory committee meetings and twice a year member conference calls. Advise senior clients and conduct activities to ensure the committee adheres to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), including preparation of a Federal Register Notice, finding meeting space that is open and accessible to the public, and posting of meeting materials for the public prior to the advisory committee's meetings. Work closely with the advisory committee's subcommittees to analyze policy recommendations to the client. Conduct member analyses and develop nomination recommendations. This position is client-facing and is located full-time at the client's office in Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in the strategic communications field, including leadership messaging, content development, Web strategy, and implementation planning

-Experience with leading a team, delegating tasks, and performing quality reviews

-Experience with developing executive-level briefs and deliverables and writing and editing materials for senior executives

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to work with senior government officials and private sector executives

-Ability to gather information and synthesize it into presentable deliverables

-Ability to manage multiple competing tasks, prioritize as necessary, and deliver high-quality products to a variety of stakeholders under tight deadlines

-Ability to multi-task and work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of CISA preferred

-Knowledge of FACA preferred

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity and critical infrastructure security subject matter topics preferred

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred
