JPM DFI Leadership: this includes leading the DFI, its strategy and execution; it will also take responsibility for ensuring the quality of JP Morgan's development finance standards, forming institutional partnerships (both internal and external) and representing JP Morgan's DFI to clients and other external constituencies; Development Impact: this includes defining and maintaining the development criteria that will be applied to the firm's transactions in the developing world in order to qualify for the development portfolio; Development Finance: this includes understanding and accessing products available from public sector development finance institutions and governments, and working with internal deal teams to incorporate those products into JPM transactions. This function will also include supporting the CIB's syndicate desks by building relationships with institutions and other investors that want to support investments that will have development impact; Operational Support: responsibilities include maintaining a deal pipeline, generating marketing and qualifications materials, and assisting both the Development Impact and Development Finance functions 15+ years of professional experience in financial services, ideally with at least 5 years of experience working in development finance (either in a development bank, government, or other type of development finance institution) Advanced degree in International Development, Economics, Finance or other related fields Proven ability to create, develop and maintain trusted relationships with issuers and investor clients Knowledge of banking and capital markets; must be able to articulate JPMorgan views at a high level Experience working with or within public client organizations Effective business person, who can develop viable strategies to grow the overall business with this client set, as well as take pragmatic steps to execute these strategies Understanding of key products relevant to this segment, in particular equity capital markets, debt capital markets (including bilateral and syndicated loans), M&A advisory, structured trade, derivatives, structured and securitized products, project finance, and asset management Flexibility to travel a significant proportion of the time Ability to navigate across large organizations to get things done and broker information across the firm; ability to form strong partnerships and work in environments where there are multiple, over-lapping stakeholders.
