The Director of Asset Management is responsible for performance management of a portfolio of properties within the assigned portfolio.. Duties of the Director of Asset Management would include:. Under guidance and direction, oversee and asset manage a portfolio of multifamily properties to maximize income and value.. Develop and execute on near-term and long-term business plans for the portfolio and each asset, identifying opportunities to maximize asset value.. Maximize income through the local oversight and guidance of individual asset's both operational strategy and capital investment opportunities within the assigned portfolio. Develop market knowledge and data to maxim.. Communicate and follow-up on expectations with other cross-functional teams, including Acquisition, Property Operations, Construction, Redevelopment, Risk Management, Corporate Tax, Accounting etc., in the execution of strategic business plans for the assets.. Partner with Redevelopment and Property Operations leaders during and after value-add property repositioning, ensuring a smooth handoff from construction completion through lease up and stabilization phases.. Leveraging a data-driven approach, creating and distributing distribution of asset - level performance reports, identifying action items, ensuring action based upon findings.. Collaborate with internal teams during the annual budget process, including comparisons of budget projections to historical performance and comparison of budget projections to benchmarks.. Collaboratively conduct routine meetings, site visits, and/or conference calls with Property Operations to discuss asset-level strategies and operational issues.. Collaborating with Transactions team, assisting in pre-acquisition / pre-disposition input and due diligence including review of financial and operational documentation to include underwriting, structuring and third-party reports. Successful candidates in this role should have:. A Bachelor's Degree: Business, finance or accounting preferred.. 3-5 years experience in the real estate industry. Knowledge building and interpreting analytics, including financial modeling, and underwriting. An entrepreneurial and customer-service driven approach to asset management.. A highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).. Strong organizational and decision-making skills.. Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach, with the ability to step back and understand the "big" picture.. Ability to prioritize workload and manage projects effectively.. Must maintain a quality work product in a time-sensitive environment, therefore, time management and ability to multi-task is necessary.
