ASSYST is looking for an innovative, motivated, and hard-working technical individual that would like a hands-on role in supporting network solutions to work in our Sterling, Virginia Headquarters. Primary Job Responsibilities Provide basic administration of computer accounts and passwords. Monitor voice mail, e-mail, messages, and related information for support inquiries. Monitor and follows-up on all employee helpdesk inquires. Assist with daily backup. Assist with any managing of network printers and copiers. Track and monitor computer inventory. Document internal procedures. Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software. Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required. Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software. Assist with onboarding of new users. Configure and install IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, and network equipment. Troubleshoot OS and hardware issues for systems running Linux and Windows. Install and keep up to date, anti-virus software. Special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor. Technical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Recent Grad or someone about to graduate is preferred. Some experience in IT, Help Desk andor Networking. Hardware experience a plus. Coursework, internships and project work is acceptable. Experience working with routers, servers, hardware, software and operating systems. Basic A+, Net+, Security +, COMP Tia Certifications preferred. Experience with Scripting (Python) preferred. Experience with Cisco, Shell Unix, Linux and or Ubuntu preferred. Other Qualifications Willingness to learn and be mentored by technical leads. Good personal computer and business solutions software skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Interpersonal skills to interact with team members. Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. US Citizenship is required with ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
