This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours. Req ID: # JOB SUMMARY: Provides high level strategic project planning, support and implementation for system-level finance projects and system-wide communications related to financial performance for key stakeholders (ie, board of directors, ratings agencies, system executive team) and day-to-day financial operations leadership for acute and ambulatory networks. Provides support for acute, ambulatory and shared services which fosters financial performance improvement, budget compliance, and department accountability. Supports both the Senior VP Financial Operations and EVP / CFO. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Manages financial planning, analysis, and presentations that promote fiscal accountability, performance improvement and positive teamwork for acute, ambulatory, and shared services departments. -In partnership with the network/PHMG CFOs and their financial teams, provides leadership on standard work, financial operations review and improvement, and monitoring of performance. -In partnership with the financial planning team; manages the development of shared services department budgets and related reports. Directs the analysis of operating results and prepares interpretive reports and recommendations that are timely, accurate, and realistic to management. -Provides financial analysis, report development, and business writing to create presentations and other support as needed to the Senior VP/Financial Operations, EVP/CFO, and others within and outside of the organization for informed business decision-making. -Manages finance projects to meet expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle which includes; initiating, planning executing accurate, timely, actionable results, and closing the project. Provides financial analysis and presentations on projects for board of directors, ratings agencies, executive leadership, and shared services leaders. -Collaborates with all levels of leadership, finance, and information systems staff to collect, organize, and develop analyses on key performance measures and operational results that support performance improvement, business planning, and decision-making for month-end financials and monthly operational reviews. -Provides customized financial models analyzing the implications of federal and state health policy & legislation, introduction of new or expanded service lines, hiring of new physicians or extenders, and potential joint ventures, affiliations, or acquisitions. -Develops and implements plans to provide data and dashboards that assist leaders meet customer needs and while assuring clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and stewardship goals are also met -Interfaces with hospital and network leadership, financial analysts and database managers to ensure data accurately reflects current state performance and realistic future projections. -Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: -A Bachelor of Science degree in finance, accounting or business is required. -Master's degree in finance, accounting or business preferred. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: -Minimum seven years' experience in the finance field as a project manager, financial analyst, requiring relevant skill and expertise required. -Significant experience working with financial spreadsheets and databases required. -Integrated health care delivery experience preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: -FHFMA, FACHE, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desirable. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: -Proficiency in project management and strong analytical skills is required. -Experience with Agile, Lean, and other development processes and methodologies. -Change Management and Leadership experience. -Ability to demonstrate a collaborative consultative style with strong interpersonal communication skills is required. -Ability to prioritize, delegate responsibilities and effectively supervise personnel is required. -Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability. -Proven skills in team facilitation, project implementation, effective data interpretation, customer relations -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a highly matrixed and disbursed organization -Strong verbal and written communication skills PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS: -Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time. -Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less. -Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation. -Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
