Work Location: Frederick, Maryland What does a Konare Law Associate Attorney do? Here at Konare Law, our associate attorneys are educated professionals that defend the rights of individuals and businesses. They work in a high-pressure environment with new challenges every day. Their main role is to represent and advocate for clients with their immigration and criminal matters throughout the nation. They prepare for trial, attend trial, prepare memos and oversee paralegal work. Most importantly our associate attorneys make an impact on someone's life to achieve their American Dream. Qualifications and Skills Must have at least 2 to 3 years of Criminal Defense experienceMaryland Bar (required)Must be thoroughly knowledgeable about cases in Maryland.Applicants should be motivated self-starters, who are able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and the team.Must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving clients.Gathers evidence in criminal cases to formulate defense or to initiate legal action.Conducts research, interviews clients, and witnesses and handles other details in preparation for trial.Prepares legal briefs, develops strategy, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case.Files brief with court clerk.Represents client in court. *The firm reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Qualifications and Education Requirements Education: JD degreeExperience: Completion of state bar exam in Maryland (required)Must have at least 2 to 3 years of experience working in a law officeBilingual in Spanish (preferred) Skills Excellent verbal and written communicationActive listeningCritical thinkingComplex problem solvingJudgment and decision makingNegotiationSocial perceptiveness What are the hours for this position?
