Classic Lawn & Landscape is a family-owned landscape company located in Baltimore County. Classic Lawn & Landscape specializes in Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Landscape Construction, Irrigation & Snow Removal. Summary: Under general supervision, provides timely estimates for commercial landscape contracts, but also works on misc. landscape, irrigation, lighting, and hardscape projects Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (may perform any or all of the following duties :) Ensures estimates are produced in such a timely and accurate fashion that the sales department staff will be able to present and win an above average percentage of the jobs it proposes Responsible for staying informed on products, supplies and sub-contractor prices as well as the Company's operating production capabilities to ensure accurate estimates are produced Negotiates pricing with vendors, subcontractors, performs site assessments and makes decisions on how to adjust price based upon circumstances of site or project To provide value-engineering ideas to improve the Company's competitive position To recommend satisfactory substitutes for materials not readily available To work closely with production teams to ensure understanding of production capability and to accurately estimate man-hours required for job completion Quantify landscape, civil and architectural plans Evaluate specifications for product and procedures Input data into an excel spreadsheet or Quickbooks Prepare proposals and bid follow up Attends departmental meetings as required Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3+ years in a landscape construction estimating with solid knowledge of basic landscapes scopes including but not limited to; plants, soils and mulch, irrigation, green roofs, hardscapes and site furnishings; or a combination of education and experience Must have strong MS Office knowledge, QuickBooks or other digital takeoff software skills. Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
