Each spring, the NAB Show brings together the entire media ecosystem and over 90,000 attendees in Las Vegas for six days to further their careers, gain knowledge, experience cutting-edge training, get hands-on with the latest technology, and connect with industry trailblazers advancing the art, science, and business of content. We also host a NAB Show in New York City each fall. Position Overview: Work alongside the Web Designer and under the Vice President, Audience Development to build and maintain websites in line with the latest web standards to support and maximize effectiveness of event marketing and sales campaigns and meet web team goals.Develop convention websites and related microsites, manage updates to ensure functionality and security for the sites, and develop back-end web development solutions and processes that shorten implementation time and ensure quality.Work alongside the Senior Manager, Attendee Services in the integration with third-party platforms, including registration, housing, exhibitor/session info, video and live-stream, advertising, mobile app, chat, social media, and others.Monitor site performance and build measurable conversion goals using Google Analytics, and contribute to post-show analysis to inform changes and make recommendations for future campaigns.Manage the hosting vendor and assist with troubleshooting and resolving server, user and connectivity issues, as needed.Assist in managing the collection and organization of digital assets, such as logos, banner/button ads, photography, video, third party creative assets, testimonials, etc. Secure and distribute assets to internal staff and external vendors as needed.Assist in managing the web team workflow in JIRA to ensure efficient workflow for the web team and responsive web requests. Assist in supporting and training associates on the platform, as needed.Continually strive to expand working knowledge and collaborate with the marketing team and digital marketing agency in implementing the latest web design/development trends and related technologies as well as digital marketing strategies and techniques and SEO strategies to facilitate optimal online experiences for our customers across multiple platforms and browsers.Develop a complete understanding of each convention and business development program and a working knowledge of related target industry to include appropriate product categories, industry trends, audience makeup/key survey facts, conference focus, other major associations, competitive programs, etc.Serve as primary liaison with stakeholders and IT staff to ensure that proper development methodology is set and executed for various web, desktop, mobile, and database applications. Defines and enforces standards for applications lifecycle management including requirements definition, design, implementation, quality control, and roll out.Work with Vice President, Audience Development as required with special projects and perform any additional duties as needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the event marketing department and to maximize the success of NAB conventions and business development initiatives. Qualifications:Must be a team player, take direction well and be able and willing to work at high pace under tight deadlines.Excellent PHP and MySQL skillsExcellent HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery skillsExcellent organizational and oral communication skillsAdvanced proficiency with SEO, Google Analytics and Google Tag ManagerAdvanced proficiency in Quality Assurance and experience in proofing copy and codeProficiency in Microsoft Office and ExcelProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, with excellent skills in PhotoshopFamiliarity with responsive Design Principles, SEO semantic code, w3c standards, cross-browser compatibility, and WCAG 2.0 AA Compliance PreferredExperience with live streaming and video editingExperience integrating 3rd party APIs into PHPExperience in server administrationExperience with custom WordPress plugin and theming developmentExperience with Drupal 7Experience using GitExperience with JIRAExperience in mobile app developmentExperience with Experient, Map Your Show, and/or HUBB The National Association of Broadcasters is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
