Overview Peraton is seeking a Configuration Management Lead in Springfield, VA . The position will assist in delivering Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) as an operational program in IT Operations. The individual will be involved in various activities within SACM - process documentation, configuration analyst, software, hardware and license asset management and process integration activities. This particular position will work in the warehouse at NCE in the receiving and loading dock area. Responsibilities What you'll do Responsible for configuration management (CM) of systems Actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams. Oversees and monitors performance, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues. Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits Works on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system endof-life Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards Tracks all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, controls standard operating procedures and current configurations Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures Scanning all received material and ensure it is uploaded into the PSAM database Barcode all received material Work with the SACM team on updating received items Packing IT equipment to be shipped to multiple locations. Follow all NGA policies and regulations Provide recommendations and best-practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures. Ensure configuration management program conforms to all required US Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Qualifications You'd be a great fit if you HS diploma and 12 years work experience Have experience directing teams through to project completion. Can work individually and also as team participant Require moderate guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and/or managers Must have a TS/SCI security clearance and be able to maintain the clearance.
