JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Brand, Marketing, Sales & Consumer Services (BMSC) Finance Business Partnership (FBP), Senior Business Analyst will support the FBP in the execution of financial management processes which support the financial and operational business strategies and plans designed to enable BMSC to achieve its business objectives. He/she will contribute to: * The ongoing monitoring, measuring and forecasting of financial performance and assist in the development of actionable recommendations to address identified business challenges and opportunities. * The timely and efficient execution of key financial business processes. * The ongoing monitoring and analysis of programs and services costs to ensure funding and cost allocation methodologies are appropriately and consistently applied and spending levels are aligned with business priorities and plans. * The finance related activities for the development and implementation of new programs, services and initiatives to include analyses of funding approaches and development of cost models that are in compliance with management and franchise agreements. * The ongoing monitoring of the control environment and the development of actionable recommendations to improve controls and processes. The Senior Business Analyst will also provide proactive support to ensure the financial and accounting information, reporting, and analysis needs of BMSC are met through effective partnerships with the various Global Finance groups. He/she will establish and maintain strong relationships with these Global Finance groups and BMSC staff to help effectively address business issues, identify and implement appropriate solutions, influence, as appropriate, business decisions, and improve overall business results. BUSINESS CONTEXT/EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Business Context Brand, Marketing, Sales & Consumer Services The Brand, Marketing, Sales & Consumer Services (BMSC) organization was created to provide discipline support to all continents and brands. The organization combines the following areas of expertise across the continent and corporate staff groups: Brand Management & Marketing, Sales, Consumer Insights & Revenue Strategy, Planning & Services, Marketing, Digital, & Distribution. The FBP will provide pro-active financial leadership across BMSC ensuring the right financial focus and resources, at the right time, in order to maximize value and reduce exposure to the Company on existing assets and ventures and in the development of new projects. Partnering with senior business leadership as a key advisor to optimize total business performance, the FBP will be responsible for financial strategy and risk mitigation, financial business and performance management, controllership, and finance human capital management for BMSC. The FBP will collaborate closely with other Finance groups to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information needed to support the financial business and performance management of BMSC. Expected Contributions Overall * Support efforts to monitor and measure the financial performance of BMSC and its applicable programs and services to help ensure results are aligned with business objectives. * Partner with Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS) and other Global Finance groups, as appropriate, to provide routine and ad-hoc operating results and analysis to BMSC staff. * Contribute knowledge of the business environment within BMSC and/or obtain necessary information to support the completeness and accuracy of financial information and explain trends and/or variations in results vs. expectations. * Ensure knowledge and understanding of funding and cost allocation methodologies for BMSC programs, services and initiatives. * Monitor and analyze programs, services and initiatives costs to ensure compliance with funding and cost allocation methodologies, to determine over/under recovery positions, and to assess adequacy of chargeout rates. Assist in the development of recommended changes to chargeout rates, as required. Support and/or perform funding and cost analyses to support business decision making and to respond to internal management and external parties inquires. Provide financial assistance in the management and analysis of applicable program liability models. * Using standard and customized reports, KPIs and other data, assist in the development of actionable recommendations to appropriately address identified business challenges and opportunities. * Establish and nurture relationships with BMSC staff to ensure information flow is timely and appropriate to effect attention to business challenges and opportunities. * Partner with AHS and other Global Finance groups, as appropriate, to ensure service delivery metrics are met and operational challenges are resolved timely. * Partner with the BMSC FBP team and the appropriate Global Finance group to develop and/or modify reporting tools to ensure BMSC operating results, programs and services funding and costs are accurately reflected in company financials. * Support the timely and effective execution of key financial processes within BMSC. Partner with the BMSC FBP team, discipline staff, AHS, and the Global Finance Business Partnership to execute the enterprise-wide annual budget, forecasting, and long range planning processes. * Support the coordination, preparation and review of the data submissions, ensuring appropriate attention is given to the completeness and accuracy of the financial information and that it aligns with BMSC business objectives. * Ensure in-depth knowledge and understanding of current processes and tools to facilitate serving as a key resource to BMSC staff. * Participate in review meetings with BMSC staff to support presentation of budgets and long range plans for approvals. * Prepare financial information packages as required. * Support the finance and accounting work related to the development and implementation of new programs, services and initiatives. * Assist with the development of business cases and/or cost and recovery models and/or perform other analysis as required. * Help determine funding approaches/recommendations compliant with management and franchise agreements. * Assist with recommendations and presentations for Program & Services Agreement Compliance (PSAC) Advisory Committee approval. * Engage relevant Global Finance groups to operationalize new programs, services and initiatives (eg, new department set up, development of supplemental budgets, etc.) * Assist in proactively monitoring the financial control environment within BMSC. * Assist in the completion of annual compliance processes/procedures (ie Prepared by Client work papers, Agreed Upon Procedures, Federal Disclosure Document, Owner Disclosures) for BMSC applicable programs and services. Respond to compliance, financial and internal control audit requests as required (eg AUP, Sarbox, etc.). * Use data and reports generated by the various Global Finance groups and own analyses of operating results, trends and variations in results vs. expectations to identify actual/potential control issues and process improvement opportunities * Partner with the team and appropriate Global Finance groups to develop and implement necessary corrective actions. * Identify and help implement process improvement opportunities in the interfaces with Global Finance groups. * Perform ad-hoc analyses for and/or provide information to and advise, as appropriate, the BMSC FBP team, BMSC staff and other Global Finance groups on the business environment and key operating issues within the discipline. * Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
