JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise (COE), the Manager will work closely with the Director, other members of the TA COE, and the Americas University Relations + Recruiting team in support of the Global Voyage Leadership Development program for recent university graduates as well as Marriott's internship programs. The Manager will play a key role in leading the day-to-day activities in support of recruiting, hiring, and providing a meaningful experience for our Corporate interns at Marriott International. In addition, they will be the key contact for all referrals for Marriott University Programs within the United States. EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Program Support for Marriott's University Programs: US Voyage + Hotel Internship Program: * Tracks and maintains a large volume of referrals that are received for Marriott's United States Voyage Leadership Development Program and Hotel Internship Program. * Contacts referrals in a timely manner to explain program process, timeline and establish next steps * Assists talent sourcing managers with referral interviews * Consistently communicates with United States University Relations team to ensure accurate reporting of referral process, including weekly and ad hoc reporting * Communicates with stakeholders on timeline and process for the United States Voyage and Intern programs * Conducts intake screenings, tracks, and builds necessary relationships for Universities, Vendors, Non-profit Organizations, Youth groups and other entities * Executes an outbound recruiting strategy by planning and attending recruiting events at key colleges and universities Program Support for Marriott's Global Voyage Program: * Managing communication channels in support of Voyage such as our internal social collaboration tools as well as the Voyage email box * Assisting with content creation and partnering with vendors on the design of university recruiting assets and marketing collateral * Creating, maintaining, and updating content on our social collaboration sites as well as intranet as it pertains to Voyage * Continually looking for new ways to evolve our university programs and processes Corporate Internship Program Support: * Managing referrals that are received for Marriott's Corporate Internship Program * Representing Marriott's university programs on campuses and participating in campus recruiting activities to help drive participation and applicant flow for key roles * Reviewing internship resumes & matching based on interests, skills, and department needs * Obtaining tracking of where candidates are in the application/interview process * Facilitating phone screens * Creating and sending offer letters and ensuring all pre-hire checks are complete * Communicating with HR leaders throughout hiring process * Keeping track of hires, hiring managers, departments, and other pertinent details * Managing summer programming for Corporate interns including creation and scheduling of orientation, events, learning activities, leadership speaker series, and more * Conducting and managing a needs assessment process * Managing the intern I9/onboarding paperwork processing * Manage offboarding of associates * Serving as the key contact for HR generalists, hiring managers, etc. on day-to-day needs * Tracking program statistics and metrics Other * Additional responsibilities may include consulting with continents, disciplines, and brand teams to develop and deploy general TA strategies that are aligned and targeted with their overall strategy needs. EDUCATION * Bachelor's degree (Business, Human Resources Management or other related field) required EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE * 2 years of experience required in an HR or business related role (eg, talent acquisition, recruitment, program coordination or management) * Demonstrated technology skills in MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel * Comfortable learning new technology to support day-to-day activities (social collaboration tools, talent management and onboarding systems, etc.) * Current with HR and business trends and best practices. * Experience communicating with a global, multi-generational audience * Hospitality industry experience a plus, not required * Ability to acquire and maintain relationships with associates, vendors, etc. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation development and delivery skills * Demonstrated experience interacting effectively as a team member with all levels of associates * Skill in prioritizing work tasks in accordance with goals and to make effective use of time in an environment with multiple deadlines and goals * Ability to perform independently with limited supervision * Experience in planning and coordinating small to mid-sized projects * Extremely organized and detail oriented; ability to keep track of tasks and projects with many moving pieces * Ability to plan details related to events and projects and execute accordingly * Strong analytical skills; can quickly analyze situations and clearly articulate what needs to be done * Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders * Collaborates, addresses conflict and resolves issues in a timely and effective manner * Demonstrates a high degree of integrity in dealing with sensitive information * Able to work with a sense of urgency on time sensitive requests * Maintains a positive, can-do attitude and professional demeanor even when faced with conflict or change of direction Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
