Overview Peraton is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager in Greenbelt, Maryland to support our Goddard Space Flight Center customer supporting the Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) Program. The selected individual will manage the Program Management Office (PMO) Mission Assurance functions at the Greenbelt, MD office and program remote locations to include quality management, configuration management, environmental, safety & health, risk management, planning, training, and quality metric reporting. Responsibilities What you'll do Execute the programs Mission Assurance Plan. Supervise small staff of employees to include: staffing, performance evaluations, and schedules. Implement a system safety approach in which development, testing, flight support, ground operations, and maintenance activities are assessed for hazards, and institutes management processes for assuring personnel and property will be protected from injury or harm as a result of exposure to these hazards. Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and facilities functions to ensure quality standards are in place and effective. Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality standards and protocol to ensure products and services meet customer requirements. Manage the corrective/preventative action and the root cause corrective action processes. Schedule and conducts internal quality assurance audits and manages external audit coordination. Manage the hardware and software configuration management processes and ensure physical and functional configuration audits are performed. Audit management of change and recording process to ensure effectiveness. Oversee risk and opportunity management processes. Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and facilities mission assurance functions to ensure standards and contract requirement are met. Development of customer required customer reports, briefing material, and white papers as required. Qualifications You'd be a great fit if you have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field. 8+ years of quality management or quality engineering, including root cause - corrective action experience. 3+ years of Supervisory/Management experience leading teams to the resolution of ambiguities and development of accomplishable plans to solve the problem. Experience implementing or improving measurement capability and managing multiple development groups. Experience redesigning processes to achieve greater productivity, decision-making or enhanced performance. It'd be even better if you have Experience implementing/managing Quality Management Systems (eg, ISO9001 and/or AS9100). CMMI management experience. PMP Certification. Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. The ability to work well in team environment. Excellent communication skills and writing skills Familiarity with NASA Procedural Requirements, work instructions, and directives and root cause analysis. Active Security Clearance.
