Thermal Spa and Operations Director.
Thermal Spa & Operations Director NicheWellness, LLC is building thermal spas in urban locations. Their first is a 21,000 square foot facility in Old Town Alexandria, VA opening in 2020. NicheWellness is looking for a Spa & Operations Director to join our team and lead a team of wellness professionals. All applicants for this position should have substantial THERMAL SPA experience (as opposed to other spa management experience). This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is a self-starter and can motivate a team to produce and provide excellent customer service. You will manage and oversee the leadership teams of the facility. You will be a hands-on leader of the facility. You will have excellent operations and financial experience as well as sales experience to be able to communicate the concept of thermal spa to the community, your team and guests. Additional duties include but are not limited to: . Preparing operating budgets and financial models throughout the development process . Oversee the hiring of spa service providers and thermal staff.. Ensure spa service quality controls, including cleanliness, water and wet area temperatures, and product usage.. Ensure retail operations adhere to performance plan goals and objectives.. Manage the preparation of purchase orders for professional treatment and operational supplies.. Maintain proper inventory levels for all professional and retail products.. Finalize payroll for all associates.. Conduct annual performance reviews of supervisory and hourly associates, where applicable.. Partner with Controller to prepare monthly financial variance reports and participate in the development of the annual budget.. Work with local market, social groups, local Chamber, and all area hotels for putting together group and membership programs. Education and/or Experience. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. 5 - 10 years of THERMAL spa management experience is preferred. Knowledge and experience with other spa operations, particularly massage therapy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and operate with urgency. Have a hands-on get it done attitude and never hesitate to roll up your sleeves. Must possess computer proficiency especially with Excel and Windows-based programs. Very strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.
