Overview Peraton is seeking a software engineer for a position at the Naval Research Lab (NRL) within a C4ISR R&D program for unmanned systems. This particular project requires the design, implementation and testing of a C2 architecture for controlling multiple signal processing frameworks using Docker on a unified Linux backplane. Experience with RF signal processing, communication systems and embedded systems are highly desirable. Responsibilities What you will do design, build and perform testing and evaluation of C4ISR software systems on unmanned platforms for military and intelligence customers interface with radios, wireless communications devices, ISR systems, power control systems, unmanned vehicle control systems and other associated hardware and software handle multiple short-term projects, usually under six months apply rapid prototyping skills to address customer needs accounting for both cost and schedule concerns design and implement software given requirements from customers and senior engineers Qualifications You'd be a great fit if you Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines from an accredited institution plus five (05) years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Emphasis on Software Development and/or Control Systems Have three (03) to five (05) years of software engineering experience with embedded systems Have C++/C, Python development experience Have a background in MATLAB or scientific programming.
