Program Manager for Faculty Affairs and Development

The George Mason University Office of Faculty affairs and Development invite applications for the position of Program Manager for Faculty Affairs and Development as we engage in the planning, implementation, maintenance, and assessment phases of widespread adoption of Interfolio, alongside other initiatives in the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development. Responsibilities: The Program Manager reports to the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and Development and is responsible for the launch and operationalization of our Faculty Activity and Collaboration Tool (FACT) initiative and supports the numerous initiatives in the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development. The person in this position will coordinate, execute, manage and assess initiatives from inception to launch through program oversight.

Mason has made an infrastructure investment with the purchase of two Interfolio products, Faculty-180 and RPT (Renewal, Promotion, and Tenure). The Program Manager will oversee the Faculty-180 Leadership Team, the RPT Implementation Team, and serve on the Executive Council. As these initiatives support Mason faculty, academic programs, and administrative team needs, the Program Manager will work with diverse campus stakeholders to ensure strategic and operational success. Duties include: * Create plans, facilitate working groups, and establish goals and targets for planning, implementation, and assessment of successes and required adaptations; * Collaborate with academic leadership and their staff, Information Technology Services staff, Institutional Effectiveness and Planning staff, HR/Payroll staff, Office of Research staff, the academic administrative team in the Office of the Provost, and our Interfolio project team to plan for and implement a successful launch; * Develop project plans, ensuring that project management timelines and requirements are transparent and clearly communicated to all stakeholders from project inception to completion; * Develop and share resources and organize training opportunities across multiple platforms for multiple end users about the F-180 and RPT modules; * Identify and analyze opportunities and risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate those potential risks; * Maintain consistent and accurate status information, data, and documentation implementation of both products in our FACT initiative; * Implement communication and engagement plans and protocols for keeping university leadership and stakeholders informed of needs and progress; * Create a continuous improvement process for the FACT initiative and, in collaboration with the Faculty-180 Leadership Team, the RPT Implementation Team, and the Executive Council, incorporating changes as appropriate; * Serve as the application administrator of the F-180 and RPT modules (managing permissions, account access, etc.); and * Support other initiatives and activities within the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development.

Required Qualifications: * Masters degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; * Demonstrated experience with significant change management initiatives; * Effective written and verbal communication skills, including visual presentation skills; * Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts and collaborate with individuals across multiple levels of the institution; * Strong leadership, particularly around building and overseeing collaborative teams, and success working with individuals from diverse backgrounds; * Excellent skills in establishing priorities, managing resources, and problem-solving; * Ability to hold the big picture in mind while attending to details; * Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications: * Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification; Business Analysis or Business Process Management certificate or certification; * Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project, or other project-management related software; * Experience with data analyses and presentation; * Demonstrated experience in program or project management experience in a business and/or higher education environment.
