Dewberry is currently seeking a Mid-Level Geospatial Analyst/Remote Sensing in our Fairfax, VA office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced individual to join a team of professionals while working in a multidisciplinary consulting and engineering firm. Typical responsibilities are to work on the GIS/IT and Remote Sensing related projects for our federal clients with a strong focus in NGA related geospatial data.

Responsibilities

  • Data extraction/compilation, interpretation of multiple sensor input data (stereo and monoscopic);
  • Create a variety of digital mapping/remotely sensed products using various software platforms;
  • Create and disseminate production workflow documents;
  • Create and manipulate databases;
  • Elevation, Feature, and other specific data Processing and Manipulation;
  • Task Management;
  • Problem resolution;
  • Report writing;
  • Creating Scripts/Models/Macros in multiple sensor platforms;
  • Training, Quality control and providing feedback.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
  • 3 +years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing Field.
  • Required experience in multi-sensor processing, manipulation, and production .
  • In-depth knowledge of ESRI's and Socet Set software, including ArcGIS 10.X and GXP.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Strong verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
  • Experience in mentoring, training junior GIS analysts.
  • Terrascan, GeoCue experience a plus.
  • PLTS tool kit experience a plus.
  • Quality Assurance, documentation and providing feedback.
  • Working knowledge of LiDAR classification and DEM creation.
