Responsibilities

Joining the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) means being part of the team focused on securing the Nation's physical and cyber infrastructure against threats to public health and safety, economy, and national security. Within CISA, the National Risk Management Center (NRMC) is a risk-driven analysis and planning center focused on addressing significant risks to our national critical functions. NRMC works with partners to generate solutions to the most complex, strategic risks to infrastructure. You will serve as a Program Specialist in the National Risk Management Center, and in this capacity, you will:

-Provide expert guidance on physical security and cybersecurity strategy, policy, legislation, and technical programs related to the financial services sector.

-Lead and/or coordinate strategic planning risk management and analysis activities for the financial sector, specifically as it relates to interdependency risks and cascading impacts from disruptions to other critical infrastructure such as communications and electricity.

-Anticipate strategic problems related to the National Critical Functions in the financial services sector.

-Collaborate, engage, and serve as a liaison between DHS Leadership, senior leaders from the Department of Treasury, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Federal Reserve, Chief Executive, and Information Officers from the financial services sector, and interagency partners and member firms of various industry councils, in order to advise and support programmatic activity for the Financial Services Sector on behalf of CISA and the NRMC.

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level (starting salary $137,839) if you have at least one year of full-time specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, with experience in performing ALL of the following duties:
1) providing expert guidance on critical infrastructure strategy, policy, and legislation related to the financial services sector;
2) advising on improvements to best practices and policies concerning cyber and physical security risks to financial service operations;
3) collaborating and liaising with stakeholders from the financial services sector to manage risk to nationally significant critical infrastructure;
4) developing and delivering reports on the analysis and evaluation of critical infrastructure programs.
