Meetings & Events Assistant

Do you have at least 2 years of meetings and events experience?  Our client, a prestigious nonpartisan Think Tank located in downtown Washington, DC is searching for a Temp-to-Hire Meeting & Events Assistant.  This person will provide support for their headquarters’ fast paced conference center here in DC.  This position provides direct support to meeting planners and is responsible for managing assigned projects by using event management tools and software.  The incumbent will handle administrative duties associated with event preparation including responding to staff queries, invoicing, inventory, event registration, catering coordination, staff outreach and data entry into their room booking system.

Major Duties and Responsibilities will include utilizing their software platform daily to maintain meeting room requests, track events, manage user profiles and provide daily reports.  Communication skills are crucial as there is regular interaction with vendors, building management, caterers, team members and staff members.
