Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a non-profit organization that is seeking a Conference Service Coordinator to assist the facility staff in the coordination of conferences, meetings or events. Apply now or call 703-821-1911 to learn more about this opportunity!

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Facilities staff in the set up and breakdown of conferences, meetings, or events, both internally and externally (including moving furniture and supplies)
  • Develops relationships with internal and external customers
  • Able to solve complex catering/billing issues
  • Coordinates with customers to determine catering needs; places catering orders with vendors, delivers and sets up food and beverage service as needed
  • Stocks catering and pantry galleys as needed
  • Processes documents, forms and official correspondence for the facilities department
  • Reconciles and prepares invoices for payments
  • Performs other additional duties as needed

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in hospitality, conference support or event coordination
  • Experience with Excel, word, Outlook. MS SharePoint and Meeting Planner or related conference scheduling software experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to work flexible work schedule, including some overtime
