You will witness and will be part of the applications transformation journey to align with modern delivery techniques and tools that includes Java 8, Spring Boot, RESTFul Web Services, API on APIGEE, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, MongoDB, Microservices to name a few. In Pricing department, we are pushing the razor edge of innovation and constantly striving to find new ways to solve the problem.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Development Senior position to independently lead the solution delivery of issues as well as lead and mentor junior members on the team. The individual would champion technology and tools changes/improvements that streamline delivery processes.

Your Work Falls into One Primary Category:

Software Development
  • Understand Business Requirements, participate in Requirements Analysis, design applications based on System Requirements and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy the application.
  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and use cases.
  • Take ownership and proactively collaborate with the team to deliver complete solutions
  • Design, develop and implement new products and/or enhance existing products
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • Work with architects to align solutions to a larger IT strategy and technologies such as cloud migration/ adoption.
  • Contribute in creating delivery pipelines for newly created Micro Services, API's on Docker and Open shift platforms.
  • Support one of Freddie Mac's core applications in providing Level 3 support, which includes providing fixes to production defects. Quickly evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to remediate.


  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of applications using J2EE framework, Spring Boot, RESTful services and Angular
  • 2-5 years of experience in Designing and Implementing cloudbased solutions preferably AWS
  • Hands-on experience of Microservices using J2EE and Web Services (Java, XML, jQuery JavaScript, HTML, OOA and OOD Concepts)
  • Development and support skills in middleware technologies (Springboot, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, Boss etc.)
  • Good knowledge of database concepts and integration with business application development
  • Experience with scripting languages like Unix, Python
  • Hands-on experience using Docker on OpenShift or Kubernetes on AWS
  • Understanding/Working knowledge of ELK/Splunk
  • Understanding requirements and design for the build and deployment of enterprise applications
  • Good working knowledge of Jenkins, Antifactory, TeamForge GIT, Groovy DSL, Ansible/Chef/Puppet
  • Fast learner of new technologies and tools
  • Work independently contributing to the success of assigned project(s)
  • Participate in discussions with project teams to understand the application design, build process and help deploy applications in target environments
  • Provide inputs for effort estimation.
