Summary

This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Program Performance, Analysis and Evaluation in Washington, DC. The Director of Performance Management Division ensures that the SBA supports strategic planning, performance management, and project management laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages strategic planning and performance management processes.
  • Oversees and manages program management policies and processes.
  • Promotes accountability through the oversight of mechanisms to promote senior leadership decision making.
  • Leads specialized teams and projects through project management to meet key stakeholder needs to deliver timely and quality products.
  • Serves as an advisor to senior leaders on executive and statutory requirements for performance management and program management.

Qualifications

GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector: managing strategic and annual planning for a large-scale organization; developing and overseeing program management policy and processes; and ensuring accountability through leadership reviews and decision-making forums. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled
