In this role you will analyze existing systems and define, design, develop, and implement moderately complex technical products and systems. You will be a member of a team comprised of system engineers and application and hardware engineers/developers for the design of unique subsystems that will be ultimately integrated into the overall operating system. Responsibilities: We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer who will analyze users requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. He or she will analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies, provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. He or she will also incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operation, and develop technical documentation. The successful candidate will develop system Architecture and system design documentation, guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: Familiar with mid-point operations solutions mission space. Able to demonstrate good system engineering practices (documentation, requirements generation, etc.). Able to provide detailed technical assessments on the components of these technical needs. Able to lead the coordination of developers and testers to the scheduled timeline. Familiar with current systems and services like our VK/KC support to Ops. Customer-focused. Familiar with/can easily attain knowledge of how BES test processes work. Familiar with how our networks, virtual machines, lab setups are operated. Able to coach individuals to provide excellent work product being folded into the requirements of a BES System Engineer, BES Developer, and BES tester. Fifteen (15) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelors degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
