Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Designs, develops, evaluates and modifies systems and systems-oriented products. Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of Company products and competitors. Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, upgrades, and problems. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals. Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. Provides supervision of the customer installation of hardware and software. Conducts system calibrations after the hardware and software are installed. Provides technical guidance to management on changing trends and emerging products in the industry with the view to further improve existing technology and its application. Develops and maintains manuals, drawings, system specifications, electronic and hardcopy files of customer installations, calibration records, maintenance records, and quality control information. Supports promotional projects, such as trade shows, conferences and technical articles. Are you cloud native? We're looking for DevSecOps Engineers to help define and build our cloud capabilities and offerings. In this role, on our Architecture and Infrastructure team, you will support multiple projects developing our offerings, leading or supporting client demonstrations and working with our customers to implement various projects. We're looking for you to unleash your creativity and deliver innovative ideas using automation, ML/AI, RPA and other leading technologies to enable Perspecta and our customers to gain the benefits of cloud services. Duties include: Leverage your knowledge and experiences to drive Perpspecta's offerings and technology roadmaps Define, document, communicate and evangelize Perspecta standards for highly available, scalable, and self-healing systems Evaluate tools and technologies to advance Perspecta's offerings for Architecture and Infrastructure Contribute to architectural and infrastructural decisions Define, document, communicate and evangelize Perspecta standard CI/CD systems and methodologies Work collaboratively with application development and operations teams enabling CI/CD pipelines with automated builds and management supporting our parallel project driven Agile DevSecOps environment Collaborate with security stakeholders and team members to design, implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and NIST compliance validation Define appropriate application and environment KPIs and metrics Design and deploy monitoring and logging systems on AWS to collect and report on selected KPIs and metrics Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes Implement and maintain Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure Cloud Environments Design automated deployment and management solutions for a variety of cloud services (eg, Rails Application servers, Load Balancing and Proxy Servers, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Networks, Subnets) Troubleshoot bug reports on Application and Infrastructure levels Customer Interface Collaborate with our customers to consult on and help implement their Cloud goals Participate in technical exchanges with key customer stakeholders to ensure alignment with their requirements and priorities Support our business development teams with customer demonstrations and proposal responses Maintains a high degree of professionalism, mentor other team members and support cross-training & knowledge sharing Qualifications Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD (Computer Science or related field) AWS Developer or DevSecOps Engineer certification is required Hands on DevSecOps experience is required Experience with AWS Commercial & GovCloud regions required Experience with AWS C2S region preferred 3+ years of experience in an Open Source Environment 3+ years with Linux System Administration flavors: RHEL, Ubuntu 3+ years with Configuration Automation Tools such as: Ansible, Puppet, Chef and writing recipes Experience with Continuous Integration tools, Jenkins, TFS Experience configuring Elastic Load balancers, Apache Web servers, Route 53 DNS Experience deploying Web Applications Experience implementing and orchestrating containers such as Docker, Kubernetes Experience with Implementing Analytics and Monitoring Tools, Splunk Experience in using PaaS and IaaS tools sets such as OpenShift, Pivotal, Mesosphere Experience in setting up AWS, Azure security groups, VPC Strong understanding of computer networking, security, virtualization and containerization Programing experience in Python, Ruby, Java Desired Skills: (ie Shell script or code writing experience) Experience with Ruby on Rails, Source control, Git, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, JSON Familiar with Database systems, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Options
