Jenni Bick Custom Journals is looking for an Assistant Manager. We are a premium journal, notebook and pen store in Washington DC. Our Assistant Manager's responsibilities include being personable, dynamic and engaged when working with customers and staff.

We're looking for an excellent problem solver, someone able to think on their feet and maintain grace under pressure. Our customers are diverse and international and our Assistant Manager should be comfortable providing the best customer service possible to everyone who walks through our doors (including staff!).

Candidates should have at least two years of retail management experience, including experience in inventory, operations and/or shipping and receiving. Because we often communicate with customers via email, impeccable writing skills are required. We're a busy store moving into the holiday season so candidates with successful experience in supervising task management and organization will be prioritized.

Experience or an interest in the creative arts, writing, or journaling are also strongly preferred.

This is a full time, year round position with benefits including vacation, sick leave and insurance.
