Basic Function of the Position: Achieve and exceed assigned sales goals through business development. Maintain and grow a non-geographically assigned sales territory. To serve as the main point of contact for strategic CES exhibitors in that territory. Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Sell and maintain exhibit space to companies for all CES events via extensive telemarketing (cold-calling), sales letters to key accounts, customer visits to current and prospective accounts and attending competitive shows. Sell exhibit space in appointed Marketplaces (strategic, new technology areas), existing and/or new. AS is expected to achieve a revenue and net square footage goal. Responsible for lead generation for Promotional Opportunities sales. A high level of activity (phone calls, appointments) is expected at all times. Responsible for the overall satisfaction of designated strategic customers and provide excellent customer service. This includes: Pre-Show Preparation Calls, Post-Show Calls, Floor Plan Configuration Calls, Collection Calls as well as providing operations/logistical assistance. Must maintain role as key point-of-contact for strategic customers and develop relationships that go beyond the space sale. Be a team player with other departments, in providing them pertinent and timely exhibitor issues/news. Provide CTA Membership leads. Assign and delegate Sales Coordinator responsibilities. Maintain clear, up-to-dateAM records and database notes on prospective and existing exhibitors within sales territory. In addition, AS is expected to provide: daily, weekly and monthly sales forecasts; trip summaries; 30-60-90 day pipelines; information for Bi-Monthly Sales Reports. AS will participate in weekly One-on-One meetings with Vice President of International Sales and is expected to report sales. Further knowledge of industry and personal development by participating in departmental training. Self-educate in current trends and key new companies/technologies in the industry. Other duties as required by business needs. Work Experience: This position requires at least 3 to 5 years' field sales experience in trade shows or a technology related area preferred. Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related area preferred or commensurate work experience. Skills/Capabilities/Technical: Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team and possess a can-do positive attitude. Salesforce or CRM software experience strongly preferred. Superior oral and written communication skills required. Additional Information: This position requires overtime and travel to strategic accounts located in the assigned geographic territory.
