Position Summary Information Basic Function Working with the web services and marketing services teams within NOVA marketing, the Content Specialist will monitor, write, edit and add content to the NOVA website, affiliated microsites, emails and other digital marketing media and platforms. Duties and Responsibilities The Content Specialist writes original content and edits existing content for the web, including NOVA?s websites, apps, mobile site, landing pages and special assigned marketing projects.Collects, edits and enters data into web applications.Plans and organizes work by analyzing and interpreting complex information for various audiences.Provides customer service satisfaction by building positive relationships between the College and internal clients and external audiences in accordance with the marketing goals of the College.? Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university with studies in journalism, communications, marketing, English or a related field required.Several years of writing and editing experience. Preferred Qualifications Basic background in Dreamweaver and Active Data Calendar. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) to produce content used as a marketing tool to promote the College and increase traffic on the College website.Excellent written and oral English communication skills.Knowledge of digital media practices, writing for the web and principles of marketing.Basic background in Microsoft (PC) office applications Excel,and Adobe Photoshop and a Content Management System (CMS).Knowledge of AP Stylebook guidelines and Web products such as YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+, along with how to best use them as marketing tools to promote the College and increase website trafficAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities.
